Mindfulness for Cancer
Mindfulness for Living with and Beyond Cancer
Being diagnosed with cancer can be incredibly traumatic. It not only affects the cancer sufferer but also their family and friends. We have been running Mindfulness courses for people living with Cancer for several years and proud of the amazing feedback we have received. Knowing that we are helping those in real need makes our job worthwhile.
We are fully trained to deliver the only UK Mindfulness course specifically designed for people living with Cancer. The Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy for Cancer (MBCT-CA) course was designed by Trish Bartley at the University of Bangor and has been successfully applied in the Cancer field for many years.
It is a highly respected program that takes the Cancer patient through their journey, helping them come to terms with their diagnosis and gives them tools to live better with Cancer.
There are now an estimated 2.5 million people living with cancer in the UK, rising to 4 million by 2030 - MacMillan Cancer Support
This course is best suited for people living with and beyond Cancer because it deals directly with the experience, we use specific tools that can be applied by anyone living with Cancer, regardless of physical health. And the course is always delivered by an experienced Mindfulness for Cancer teacher.
Through the course we look at how to cope with the emotions, the feelings of vulnerability and the fear of recurrence.
Cost Effective courses
We strive to keep our costs low to make our services available to not for profit organisations and those who are less able to fund themselves. Our fees start at £45 an hour with discounts for longer courses. Usually we host courses at the organisations premises cutting down on costs.
