Mindfulness for Cancer

Mindfulness in later life
Nightingale Cancer Support Centre

Being diagnosed with cancer can be incredibly traumatic. It not only affects the cancer sufferer but also their family and friends.  We have been running Mindfulness support groups for cancer patients for over a year and the feedback has been overwhelmingly positive.

Our Clients

At the Nightingale Cancer Support Centre we run courses over six or eight weeks, specifically designed to help cancer patients better cope with their diagnosis.

We also run Mindfulness for Cancer courses at the Cherry Lodge Cancer Care in Barnet and Tottenham Hotspurs Foundation Caring for Communities.

There are now an estimated 2.5 million people living with cancer in the UK, rising to 4 million by 2030 - MacMillan Cancer Support
The course has made me more accepting of what has happened to me and how cancer has changed my life. I am much more positive about life now
— Course Participant

Our Mindfulness courses for Cancer are designed specifically to help people deal with their diagnosis and the changes in their life. Through the course we look at how to cope with the emotions, the feelings of vulnerability and the fear of recurrence.
