Living with cancer can be incredibly difficult and frightening. We are proud of the work we do with cancer patients, their carers and loved ones.

Mindfulness in later life

Being diagnosed with cancer is one of the most frightening times in anyone's life. It not only affects the cancer sufferer but also their family and friends.

We have been working with The Nightingale Cancer Support Centre to help support both the patients and their loved ones. Our work has become well known in the local community, bringing new organisations on board, such as Cherry Lodge Cancer Care and Tottenham Hotspurs Foundation.

There are now an estimated 2.5 million people living with cancer in the UK, rising to 4 million by 2030 - MacMillan Cancer Support
The course has made me more accepting of what has happened to me and how cancer has changed my life. I am much more positive about life now
— Course Participant

Our Mindfulness courses for cancer support are designed specifically to help people deal with their diagnosis and the changes in their life. Through the course we look at how to cope with the emotions, the feelings of vulnerability and the fear of recurrence.

Along side working with the cancer patients, we run separate groups for families and carers, we also run groups for bereavement.
